Martha Peterson Murphy, 72 of Poplar, NC went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents Man and Jennie Peterson. By brothers Lonnie, Robert, and Troy Peterson and sister Lucille Peterson.

She is survived by her husband Gary Murphy, her sons Russell and Ryan Murphy (Hannah), three grandchildren Konner, James, and Jenny Murphy, and sister Jane Booth.

Martha was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family, laughing and sharing stories. She was a long time member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and taught her sons and grandchildren about God. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A gathering of friends will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2:00PM at the home of her son Ryan Murphy at 50 Elvis Edwards Drive, Green Mountain, NC 28740.
