Marshall Gene Street, 85, of  Bakersville, NC passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 in the Brian Center in Spruce Pine. He was the son of the late Chester and Etta Honeycutt Street. He was a member of the Middle District Freewill Baptist Church and was the owner operator of  Street Lumber Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Earlene Masters and brothers: Roger, Harlas and Carlo Street.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Ledford Street of the home; daughter, Marsha Schultz and husband Kurt of Bakersville; son, Milan Street of Bakersville; sisters: Cleo Lyons of Gap Creek, TN., Alma Cash and Ada Lee McKinney both of Bakersville; grandchildren: Sydney and Suzanna Schultz.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, January 13, 2019 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Scotty Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the Middle District Cemetery.
