Dateline: Unicoi, TN

Margie M. Wilson, age 85 of Old Iron Mountain Rd, Unicoi, TN went home to be with the Lord, March 14, 2018. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Charlie and Martha Putman Birchfield. She attended Limestone Cove United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband Kenneth Wilson of the home, three daughters; Brenda Hughes (Benny), Linda Hyder (Doug), and Sharon Adams, all of Unicoi, TN, two sisters; Virgie Clark, of Hampton, TN, and Hazel Watson, of Spruce Pine, NC, one brother Charles Birchfield, of Bakersville, NC, two grandchildren; Brenden and Braden Hyder, and a special niece Judy Rice.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by two sisters; Dora Rose, and Doris Boone, and four brothers; GW, Leonard, Bobby, and FD Birchfield, and husband Willard RC Tipton.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 19, 2018 at 2:00PM in Limestone Cove United Methodist Church with Estel Williams officiating. The family will receive friends  one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at the Tipton Family Cemetery (J.S. Head Rd). The family will also receive friends at the home 1010 Old Iron Mountain Rd, Unicoi, TN 37692 where Mrs. Wilson's body will lie in state, starting at 6:00PM Saturday, March 17, 2018.
