Margaret Peterson age, 81 of Flat Branch Rd , Green Mountain , NC went home to be with her Lord on March 17, 2015 . She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Ike and Althea Honeycutt Peterson. She was a homemaker and a member of Lower Pigeon Roost Freewill Baptist Church .

Survivors include; one son Robert Allen Peterson (Susan) of Green Mountain, NC, one daughter Deborah Fay Silvers (Gary Lee) of Green Mountain, NC, three sisters; Mamie Edwards of Burnsville, NC, Eloise Whitson of Green Mountain, NC, and Pauline Wyatt of Burnsville, NC, one brother Paul Peterson of Green Mountain, NC, three grandchildren; Ronan and Shannon Peterson, and Misty Hughes, seven great grandchildren; Tristen, Evan, and Laken Hughes, Iris, Beatrice, Milo, and Nolan Peterson, a special niece Patty Cutler, and a special Pomeranian "Coco".

She was preceded in death by; her husband of 49 years, Zelotes Peterson, a sister Madge Warren, and brothers; James and Reece Peterson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 8:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Marvin Miller officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Friday, March 20, 2015 at 11:00AM at Flat Branch Cemetery .
