Marcella Street, age 74, of Bakersville, NC (Buladean Community) passed away on June 29th, 2026.

Marcella was born to the late Lawrence and Haseltine Odom. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary, the love of her life. Though widowed, Gary remained forever near and dear to her heart, and those who knew Marcella knew there was no one she loved more.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Street, and wife, Kristi, of Johnson City, Tennessee, and by her granddaughter, Haley, who brought her tremendous pride and joy.

Marcella was a lifelong member of Odoms Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now reunited with Gary and is no longer suffering.

More than anything, Marcella will be remembered for the love she had and for the memories she leaves behind. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3rd, at 12:00 noon at Odoms Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Whitson officiating. The family will receive visitors for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Melton Cemetery.
