Madeline Griffith Bennett, age 83 of North Wilkesboro , NC formerly of Green Mountain , NC passed away April 4, 2015 . She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Dave and Phoebe Whitson Griffith. She was retired from Tipton Hill School where she was a Teachers Assistant. She was a Member of Lower Brummitts Creek Church of The Brethren.

Survivors include; a daughter, Sherry Souther (Steve), of North Wilkesboro, NC, a son, Todd Bennett (Donna) of Green Mountain, NC, a sister in law, Faye Griffith of Green Mountain, NC, four grandchildren; Jessica Stafford, Kristin Adams, Zack Souther, and Houston Bennett, three great grandchildren; Cameron, and Clayton Stafford, and Liam Adams.

She was preceded in death by; her husband, Clarence Bennett, three sisters; Blanche Tipton, May Griffith, June Gouge, and a brother, Frank Griffith.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 at 2:00PM in Lower Brummitts Creek Church of The Brethren with Gerry Rhodes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Tipton Hill Cemetery .
