Dateline: Spruce Pine, NC

Linda Lucille McClellan, age 76 of Phillips Rd, Spruce Pine, NC went home to be with the Lord May 14, 2020. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Sam Avery and Ruth Aldridge Watson. Linda was retired from the public school system where she was a bus driver and was also a self employed hairdresser.

Linda was good to all children and especially loved the light of her life her grandson Dillon McClellan. She also enjoyed working in the yard and her flowers. Hairdressing was her lifelong joy.

Survivors include, her son, Chris McClellan (Samantha), her daughter, Michele Deachanu, her grandson, Dillon McClellan, and her two great grandchildren, Nilla and Frankie.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by two sisters, Betty and Barbara.

Private burial will be held at Yellow Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
