Linda Sue Hughes, 81 of the Rebels Creek Community, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018. A native of Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Taft and June Jarrett Burnette. Linda was a homemaker, Registered Nurse, and the former business manager for Mayland Enterprise (a regional resin distribution company). She was also a member of the Rebels Creek Baptist Church.

Linda is survived by her husband, Richard Hughes; her son, Richard Hughes Jr and wife Christi of Hendersonville, NC; her daughter, Jill Suzanne Curcio and husband John of Los Altos, CA; sister, Rosie Silver and husband Doug of Bakersville; brothers: David Burnette of Trinity, NC and Roger Burnette (Nell) of Chesnee, SC. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Monday, September 17, 2018 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home.
