Lena Ledford Greene, age 89, passed away on her birthday, Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in the Brookside Healthcare and Rehab after a lengthy illness.. She was the daughter of the late Cart and Bertie Ingram Ledford. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Mason, Buford and C.L. Ledford. Lena was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Larry Dean Greene of Asheville ; brother, Bill Ledford of Bakersville; grandson, Larry Dean Greene Jr and wife Kim; and granddaughter, Lena D. Greene; great grandchildren: Dylan, Kaylie and Blake Greene.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, November 28, 2014 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Greene Cemetery . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
