Kathleen Freeman Pitman, age 96, of Spruce Pine, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Brian Center Health and Rehab. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Effie Freeman. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Bertie Pendley and Myrtie Buchanan and her brother, Lee freeman; her husband, Lynn Pitman; son, Lynn Pitman Jr., and daughter, Shirley Pitman Biddix. Kathleen was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Wilma Jarrell of Hickory, NC; sons: Phillip Pitman and wife Susie and Mark Pitman and wife Sonia all of Spruce Pine. She is also survived by  grandchildren; Sherry Pitman Drewry of Lincolnton, NC, Julie Harrison RN of Newland, NC, Dolly Biddix of Newland, NC, Sara Pitman Elkins of Spruce Pine, NC, Bobby Biddix of Marion, NC, Jeffery, Joey, and Chucky Burleson all of Hickory, NC , numerous great grand and great great grandchildren.
