Karen Louise Blackford, 60, of Bakersville, NC passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 in the Care Partners Solace Center in Asheville, NC.

She was the daughter of the late William and Louella Julian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Brian Blackford. Karen worked as a waitress/server at the Blackthorn Club at the Ridges in Jonesborough, TN and was a member of the Big Rock Creek Baptist Church. She loved her daughters, her cats and her church family.

Survivors include her two daughters: Kristina Marie Blackford of Bakersville and Ashley Nicole Frady and husband Martin of Marshall, NC; sisters: Elizabeth Schevermann of Indiana and Jeanne Yenni of Virginia Beach; brothers: David Julian of Kansas and Robert Julian of Virginia Beach.

A celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
