Juanita McKinney Ornouski, age 80, of Spruce Pine, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 after a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Lee and Maxine Lowery McKinney. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Ted McKinney.

Survivors include her daughters, Malanie Wilson (Norman Waycaster) of Hickory, NC and Sherry Gouge (Donald) of Spruce Pine, NC; brothers, Randle McKinney of Spruce Pine and Donald McKinney of Marion, NC; grandchildren: Dustin Wilson, Bradley Wilson, Summer Wilson Powell, Cameron Hollifield, and Tyler Hollifield; great grandchildren: Owen Wilson, Ahlana Wilson, Sarah Holman, and Hunter Holman; and cousin Marilyn and Louis Takacs.

Juanita enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music but most of all she loved her family.

A service to celebrate the life of Juanita Ornouski will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Mount Zion Community Methodist Church with Pastor Kyle Lee officiating.
