Joyce Peterson, age 81, passed away on June 27th, 2020, in Chester County, PA. She was born on March 19th 1939 in North Carolina but resided in Pennsylvania for most of her life. Joyce is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, R.L. Peterson of Downingtown, PA; her two sisters Georgia Briggs of Coatesville, PA and Ruth Ann Revilla of Morganton, NC; her three children, Rick (Tracey) Peterson of Downingtown, PA, Roger (Susan) Peterson of Kennett Square, PA, and Sherry Reeser of West Chester, PA; her eight grandchildren, Ricky Lee, Kyle, Jessica, Jeremy (Carla), Justin, Joshua, Samantha, and Nicole; and her two great grandchildren, Penelope and Jasper. She is preceded in death by her mother Ida Morrell, step-father A.T. Morrell, and son-in-law Mark Reeser. Joyce worked at Lasko Corp. in West Chester, PA before becoming a homemaker and raising her family. She has always had a green thumb, loved to crochet, and play cards. The best way to remember Joyce is to enjoy a cup of black coffee, listen to a Conway Twitty song, play a game of Rook, and love and laugh with friends and family.

A  graveside service will be held on Friday, July 3rd, 2020 at 2:00PM at the Bennett Cemetery in Bailey Settlement, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association in memory of Joyce. Henline Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family.
