Joyce Ingram passed away on May 22, 2022 at the age of 93. She was born in Mitchell County to the late Dewey and Mae Street Ingram of Buladean on August 9, 1928. Joyce grew up in and was a member of Middle District FWB Church. She was preceded in death by all her siblings; Dewey Ingram Jr. (Junior), William Charles (W.C.), Ivan David (I.D.), and Clarence Ingram, her sisters, Lois Shaffer and Georgia Jenkins and nephew Dr. Jonathan Ingram.

She is survived by her niece and nephews; Donna Simms, Michael and Rick Ingram, Mark Ingram, Gary Shaffer, and Jerry Jenkins. She also had several great nieces and nephews and their families whom she loved very much. Two sisters in law, Shirley Ingram and Shelby Ingram also survive.

Joyce was a hard worker. She retired from Hampshire Hosiery after working there many years. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, bird-watching and talking with her family and friends. especially Olene and Hazel. She enjoyed the company of the volunteers from Meals-on-Wheels, folks from the Mitchell Senior Center, her favorite 'mail-girl' Inez, and friends Pam and Ginger.

The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers and support over the past few months. Also, they would like to thank the Meals-on-Wheels program and volunteers, Center on Aging and Health in Erwin, TN, the Mitchell House staff, and Hospice of the Blue Ridge for their excellent care and understanding.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Blue Ridge or Mitchell County Meals-on-Wheels program.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Ingram Cemetery on Broad Branch Rd, Buladean, NC. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior the service at the cemetery
