Joseph Jeremy Street, age 45, of Hwy 226N, Bakersville, NC passed away August 8, 2019. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a veteran of The United States Marine Corps. He was previously employed as a welder with CSX Transportation. Jeremy enjoyed drawing, music, and animals.

He was preceded in death by: his mother; Jacquelyn Ledford Street, and one aunt; June Collier.

Survivors include: his fathers; JR Street, and Jeff Swain, one daughter; Samantha Carrie Street, grandmother; Ruby Ledford, sister; Jocelyn Street, aunts; Janice Street, Joyce Clark, Janie Cook, and Judy Street, uncles; Clement, Charles, Clinton, and Clifford Ledford, cousins; Milan and Marsha Schultz, Kara Voss, Alan Cook, David Cook, Dawn Street, Logan Ledford, Lisa Pittman, Michael Ledford, Ethan Ledford, Shawna Kneen, Tracy and Alicia Takahashi, Patricia Caughron, Larry Dean Street, Marlene Edwards, Deanna Garland, Dawn Street, Billy and Bradley Collier, and special family friends Jerry and Flossie Putman.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Chet Burleson Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Mitchell County Public Library Bakersville, NC, 18 North Mitchell Avenue, Bakersville, NC 28705
