John Martin Webb, age 72, of Cub Creek Rd., Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord, June 3, 2020. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and the son of the late Martin Phillip and Johnnie Hollis Webb. He was retired as a Dorm Manager with Pisgah National Forest. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Bakersville Baptist Church and loved serving God. He enjoyed classic rock music, bagpipes, and collecting antique cars. He was a member of The National Rifle Association, American Legion, Rhododendron Antique Car Club and Cruisers, and VFW.

He was kind hearted and loved all his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Debra Lynne Webb, two daughters; Heather Webb O'Shields, of Bakersville, NC, and Heidi Webb, of Hendersonville, NC, one son Jeffrey David Webb (Tanya), of Lake Toxoway, NC, one sister Carol Webb Lancaster (Gary), of Middle River, Maryland, ten grandchildren; Vincent, Benjamin, Remington, and Kaitlin Webb, Chasity, Hope, and Talon Smith, Justin Kilpatrick, Tristen and Johnathan O'Shields,  and two nephews; Gary and Chris Lancaster.

A private funeral service will be held Sunday, June 7, 2020 with Jim Sutton officiating. Military Honors will be provided by Sgt. E. L. Randolph Chapter 57 DAV.
