Joe R. Street, age 86, of the Buladean Community, Bakersville, NC passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Blue Ridge Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Joe and Lillie Hughes Street. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Street; two children, Janessa Street and Jeremy Street and sisters Iva Lee Street and Eunice Kerr. J.R. was a retired millwright.

Survivors include his daughter, Jocelyn Street of Bakersville; granddaughter, Samantha Street; friend and caregiver, Jeff Swain; several nieces and nephews, including Marlane Edwards, Larry Dean Street and Patricia Caughron.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in the William Harrison Street Cemetery on Pine Root Rd with Brother G.B. Garland officiating.
