Jimmy Newton Ledford, 83, of Bakersville, NC passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 in the Mitchell House, Spruce Pine, NC. He was the son of the late Homer and Edna Grindstaff Ledford and was a member of the Snow Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie McKinney Ledford.

Survivors include his daughters: Jamie Baldwin (Jere) of Stonewall, NC, Kim Howell (Stephen) and Susie Hylemon all of Bakersville; sister, Barbara Otis of Ohio; grandchildren: Kristy Wilke, Stacy Singleton, Jacey Howell, Shana Hylemon and Gage Baldwin and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2019 in the Snow Hill Baptist Church with William Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
