Jeter Lee McCourry, 74, of the Snow Creek Community, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 in the Blue Ridge Regional Hospital . He was the son of the late Jeter Gillispie and Gladys Fox McCourry.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Street McCourry of their home; daughter, Brittney Grindstaff  and husband Jonathan of Bakersville; son, Jeter Isaiah McCourry of Bakersville; sisters: Senia Fox, Vada Woody, Rita Dale and Ginger Shepherd all of Burnsville , NC ; brothers: Edsel McCourry and Charlie McCourry also of Burnsville ; and his granddaughter, Ava Grace McCourry.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Monday, September 5, 2016 in the Red Hill Baptist Church with Randy Wise and Toby Crowder officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the McCourry Family, 3351 Snow Creek Road , Bakersville , NC 28705 .
