Jerry Wayne Greene, 73, of Bakersville, NC, passed away April 18, 2022. He was the son of the late Floyd and Mildred Greene of the Fork Mountain community. He especially enjoyed summers spent camping at Lake James and he proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.

Jerry is survived by his wife Dixie Hughes Greene and son Bradley Hughes; his granddaughters, Kayla Hughes and Kimberly McMahon (Casey) and one great grandson Brody McMahon; brothers, Bradley Greene, Claude Greene, Gary Greene, and Terry Greene; sister Linda Willis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
