Jayne "Granny" Lewis Phillips, age 81 of Phillips Rd, Burnsville , NC went home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2016 . She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Jess and Lovinah Barnett Lewis.

Survivors include: children; Eddie Lewis and wife Jerri, of Marion, NC, Carol Honeycutt and husband Grant, of Green Mountain, NC, Doug Phillips and wife Rhonda, of Marion, NC, John Phillips and wife Michelle, of Burnsville, NC, and Angie Penland and husband Mikel, of Saltville, Virginia, fourteen grandchildren; Sonya, Tonya, Reid, Cole, Dustin, Amanda, Erica, Jason, Sarah, Josh, Matthew, Bethany, Mikel, and Gabriel, five great grandchildren; Lloyd, Will, Isabella, Bulma, Willis,  granny's leapshins; Dakota, Keith, William, Levi, Curt, Caden, Ethan, Logan, Mikayla, Sabrina, Sierra, Jenn, Victoria, Deseree, and Ashley.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 25, 2016 at 8:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Denny Wilson and Keith Miller officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 1:00PM at Phillips - Howard Cemetery ( Piney Hill Rd. )
