James  Bascum "J.B." Hoilman, age 76 of Bakersville, NC passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at his home after an lengthy illness.

He was the son of the late Henry and Dora Hoilman. J.B. attended the Rockdale Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters: Dollie Blevins, Gladys Burleson, Marie Hopson and Charlotte Young; and 3 brothers: Edd, Jess, and Frank Hoilman.

Survivors include his sisters: Linda Gouge (Sherwood) and Jean Stephens both of Bakersville; a special nephew, Jeff Young of Bakersville and several other nieces and nephews. J.B. had two specials CNA's to help take care of him, Shanah Buchanan and Ashley Robinson and a special nurse, Cynthia Wilson and all the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge.

Funeral services will be 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Revs. Ronnie Gouge and Larry Greene officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in the  Fork Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
