James Edward Ledford, age 66 of Lakeside Drive, Bakersville, NC passed away March 13, 2018. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and the son of the late Warfield and Jessie Hobson Ledford. He was a member of Cloudland Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years. He was previously employed in construction.

Survivors include his special brother in law Edward Smith of Marion, NC, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by two sisters Junita Phillips and Gail "Pat" Smith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Danny Silvers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Hobson Cemetery.
