James A. "Bob" Ledford, age 76, of Cane Creek Rd., Bakersville, NC, went home to be with the Lord, May 22, 2019. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and self employed as a carpenter. He attended Cane Creek Baptist Church and was a member of Cane Creek Community Club.

Survivors include: his mother; Doris DeGroat Ledford, of Bakersville, NC, one son; Shannon Ledford, and one daughter; Brandy Ledford, both of Bakersville, NC, two grandchildren; Zachary Forbes, and Daniel Ledford, and one sister, Linda Calhoun (Allen), of Morganton, NC.

He was preceded in death by: his father; Robert Ledford, his wife; Mary Ledford, and a sister; Loraine Bailey.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 2:30PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Lonnie McClellan and Mark McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until the service time. Interment will follow the service at Cane Creek Cemetery #2.
