Jack Honeycutt, age 93 of Pigeon Roost Rd, Green Mountain, NC went home to be with Jesus, July 6, 2016 at Brian Center Health and Rehab. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Grover and Julia Edwards Honeycutt. He was a Veteran of WWII where he served in Germany with the United States Air Force and Army. He was a member of Pigeon Roost Freewill Baptist Church .

Survivors include: wife of 63 years; Cassie Street Honeycutt, two daughters; Jackie Honeycutt Bennett (Dewey), of Green Mountain, NC, and Joan Honeycutt Whitson, of Burnsville, NC, one son; Douglas Honeycutt, of Marion, NC, a sister; Geneva Honeycutt, a brother; Grover Honeycutt Jr. (Helen), of Burnsville, NC, grandsons; Chad Bennett (Melora), Joshua Lee Whitson, Dallas Shane Bennett, and D. J. Honeycutt, a granddaughter; Devon Leigh Honeycutt, and three great grandsons; Zachery Bennett, Gage Lee Whitson, and Jaden Van Whitson .

He was preceded in death by: one son; Dallas Honeycutt, one great grandson; Chase Bennett, six sisters, and two brothers.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 at 7:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. David Garland and Rev. Joe Brown officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by Sgt. E.L. Randolph Chapter 57 DAV Burnsville , NC. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
