Jack Lee English, age 71 of Hazen Ledford Rd , Bakersville , NC passed away January 23, 2015 at Life Care Center in Banner Elk, NC. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Jack and Edith Pittman Wolter English. He was self employed with English Insurance Agency. He was a Veteran of The United States Navy.

Survivors include his wife; Christine Watts English of the home, one daughter; Kristi English Monforte (John) of Homestead, FL, two sons; David Judson English (Shannon) of Winston Salem, NC, and Robert Colin English (fiancé Natasha Novicevic) of Oxford, MS, seven sisters; Debbie Hancock of Fairview, TN, June English, and Sharon Huggins both of Mt. Holly, NC, Angela Kilgo of Matthews, NC, Jeanette Hoyle of Spruce Pine, NC, Mary Barrow of Melbourne, FL, and Lois Greenlee of Marion, NC, five brothers; Jerry English of Spruce Pine, NC, Roger English of Matthews, NC, Steve English of Spruce Pine, NC, James English of Raleigh, NC, and Jimmy English of Spruce Pine, NC, two grandchildren; Victoria Monforte and Gillian English.

He was preceded in death; by one sister Debra Mae English Harrelson, and an infant Fred English.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Mike Peterson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.
