Ike T. Miller, age 92 of Pigeon Roost Rd. Green Mountain , NC went home to be with the Lord August 27, 2016 . A native of Mitchell County, NC he was a son of the late John and Nettie Branch Miller. He was retired as a Machine Operator with Henredon Furniture Company. He was a member of Lower Pigeon Roost Freewill Baptist Church and was a lifelong lover of gospel music. Ike loved to fish, garden, and all outdoor activities. He especially enjoyed his family and friends.

Survivors include: two daughters; Phyllis Miller Hughes (Jones), of Bakersville , NC , and Marsha Miller Hensley (Arnold), of Erwin , TN , two sons; Gary Miller (Melody), of Charlotte , NC , and Roger Miller ( Sharon ), of Green Mountain , NC , nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and his devoted dog; Peanut.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by: his wife; Beatrice Honeycutt Miller, one son; Nick Miller, three sisters; Dollie and Ettie Bennett, and Vennie Howell, and four brothers; Vester, Roy, Floyd, and Hansel Miller.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 at 8:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Arnold Hensley, David Garland, Marvin Miller, and Keith Miller officiating. The family will receive friends three hours prior to the service. Interment will be Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 11:00AM at Bennett Cemetery ( Pigeon Roost Rd ).
