Homer Lee McKinney Jr., 71, of Bakersville , NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at his home. He was the son of the late Homer and Lillie Ledford McKinney.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Street McKinney of the home; daughter, Hope McKinney of Bakersville; sisters: Eloise Richards of Dallas, GA and Barbara McKinney of Bakersville; brothers: Arthur Bowman of Aragon, GA, Charles Bowman of Bakersville and Larry McKinney of Marion, NC; grandchildren: Kylie, Ivory and Ambreal McKinney and Madison Schell.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, January 21, 2018 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Young Cemetery . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
