Homer Boyd Crader, age 53 of Bakersville , NC passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 in the VA Medical Center, Mountain Home , TN. He was the son of the late Homer J. Crader and Susan Cooper Crader of Brownwood , TX . He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of Cane Creek Freewill Baptist Church . In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Clarke.

Survivors include, in addition to his mother, his wife, Donna Ledford Crader of the home; daughters: Christie Looney of Protem, MO, Tabby Looney of Aurora, MO, April Cash and Hattie Stohler both of Bastrop, TX, Kari Ogburn, stationed at Great Lakes, IL, and Kirsten Leopold of Marion, NC; son, Jacob Crader of Burnsville, NC; sisters: Caren Friend of Brownwood, TX, Tamera Reeves of San Antonio, TX and Amy Westbrook of Rockport, TX;  four grandchildren and  several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Cane Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Lee Cope and Dustin Sturgill officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place , Memphis , TN 38105 .
