Hazel Ledford McClellan, age 83, of Cabin Rd, Spruce Pine, NC went home to be with the Lord, November 20, 2019. She was a native of Spruce Pine, NC, and a daughter of the late Edgar and Maggie Stafford Ledford. She attended Gouges Creek Baptist Church. Hazel enjoyed sewing, quilting, flowers, canning, and spending time with her family. She retired from Baxter Healthcare. Hazel was a wonderful mother.

Survivors include: sons; Randy McClellan (Brenda), of Spruce Pine, NC, and Steve McClellan, of Spruce Pine, NC, daughters; Linda Beauvais (George), of Spruce Pine, NC, Beverly Cassida (Charles), of Green Mountain, NC, Jane McClellan, of Spruce Pine, NC, and Sherry Hoilman (Dean), of Bakersville, NC, two sisters; Kathy Buchanan, of Spruce Pine, NC, and Vivian Ray, of Micaville, NC, one brother; Wayne Ledford, of Spruce Pine, NC, sixteen grandchildren, four step grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by: her husband; Clarence Stokes McClellan, children; Sandra Ledford, and Jerry McClellan, grandson; Chris Hoilman, brothers; Edward Ledford, Ralph Ledford, and Jimmy Ledford, sisters; Geraldine Ledford, Evelyn Buchanan, Anna Faye Buchanan, Norma Sullins and Josephine Reese.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Doug Bare officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at The McClellan Family Cemetery (Gouges Creek Rd).
