Harold "Shoddy" McCoury, age 76, of Goodlettsville , TN passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 in the Skyline Medical Center . A native of Mitchell County , he was the son of the late Harrison and Marie Sparks McCoury. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Louise Harr and a brother, Buddy McCoury. He was also retired from the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his daughters: Dondi Gasper and husband Dan of Goodlettsville, Lisa Young of Old Fort, NC, and Sandee Adrogiane and husband Vito of Arizona; son, Harold David McCoury and wife Becca of West Palm Beach, FL; sisters: Rose Price of Ormond Beach, FL and Arbulus "Bootsie" Butler of Melbourne, FL; brothers: Harrison McCoury Jr. of Bakersville and Shirrrell Douglas McCoury of Green Mtn.; also 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 8 pm in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Mike Peterson officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will be 11 am Friday in the Tipton Hill Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Sgt. E.L. Randolph Chapter 57 DAV.
