Hansel Yelton, age 84 of Rockdale Rd , Bakersville , NC passed away March 2, 2015 at his home. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Clyde and Ola Mae Cobert Yelton, He was a member of Fork Mountain Volunteer Fire Department and Grace Baptist Church .

Survivors include; two sons; Maurice Yelton (Kathy), of Palm Beach, Florida, and Larry Yelton (Carolyn) of Bakersville, NC, one grandson; Mark Yelton (Marsha), six brothers; Lloyd Yelton of Hampton, TN, Eugene Yelton of Maryland, J. L. Yelton of Bakersville, NC, Dale Yelton of Burnsville, NC, Darrell Yelton of Bakersville, NC, and Dennis Yelton of Marion, NC, a special friend and caregiver Ora Grindstaff.

He was preceded in death by his wife Blanche Hoilman Yelton, a grandson Christopher Yelton, and brothers; Ballard, Hubert, Kenneth, and Lee.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 8:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Ronnie Gouge officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
