Guy Edward Putman, age 54 of Jones Garland Rd , Bakersville , NC passed away April 7, 2017 at his home. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and employed as a Millwright.

Survivors include: his mother; Madeline Mosley Putman, of Bakersville, NC, one son; Benjamin Guy Putman, of Michigan, one daughter; Bridget Geneva Putman, of New York, three sisters; Daisy Hoilman, Phyllis Ann Gardner, and Charlene Putman, all of Bakersville, NC, four brothers; Charles, Adren, and Randy Putman, all of Bakersville, NC, and Billy Joe Putman, of Unicoi, TN, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his father; Arthur Ray Putman, and three brothers; Arthur, Roger, and Donald Putman.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 at 7:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with G.B. Garland and Mike Peterson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11:00AM at Mosley Cemetery .
