Dateline: Bakersville, NC

Grover Gardner, age 76, of Aaron Branch Rd, Bakersville, NC, passed away December 9, 2018. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Jerome and Vade Garland Gardner. He was self employed as a logger and was a member of Bakersville Masonic Lodge #357AF&AM. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and sports fan cheering for the Pittsburg Steelers and NY Yankees.

Survivors include: his wife Donna Lee Osborne Gardner, of the home, one son; Robert Gardner, one daughter; Gail Gardner, two step children; Deborah Gravel and William Scott Clark,  one brother; James Gardner one grandchild, one great grandchild, and two step grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by five sisters and two brothers.

A memorial service will be held December 29, 2018 at 11:00AM in Bakersville Masonic Lodge.
