Gloria Jean Hembree age 81 of Bakersville , NC passed away April 29, 2016 . She was a native of Ottawa , Ill and the daughter of the late Frank and Nellie Monterastelli. Gloria was a homemaker and a member of Moose Lodge #1959 in Myrtle Beach , SC. She was also a volunteer for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts Youth Programs and enjoyed volunteering in the community where she lived.

Survivors include: her husband James Willard Hembree Jr., of the home, three sons; Craig James Hembree (Patricia), of Santa Rosa, California, Kurt John Hembree (Wanda), of Clovis, California, James Willard Hembree III, of Wilmington, NC, two daughters; Christine Louise Ridgeway (Ron), of Chiefland, Florida, Mary Emma Gillis (Joe), Navarre, Florida, and four grandchildren; Jett, Daryl, and Sierra Hembree, and Carl Gillis.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
