Dateline Hampton, TN

Glen Barnett, age 76 of Fiddlers Branch Rd., Hampton, TN passed away March 10, 2020. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Garther and Gertrude Hughes Barnett. He was retired as a truck driver for Summer Taylor Construction Company. He enjoyed; gardening, cutting firewood, his life in the mountains, and his dog Mitzi.

Survivors include: his wife Barbara Barnett, of the home, children; Joan Ramsey (Doug), of Jonesboro, TN, Susan Mohan, of Hampton, TN, Karen Curtis (Bill), of Rutledge, TN, Paul Barnett, of Hampton, TN, Timmy Barnett (Kathy), of Jonesboro, TN, and Jeff Barnett (Paula), of Jonesboro, TN, three sisters; Dory Laws, Doris Estep, and Lassy Laws, all of Johnson City, TN, one brother; Zeke Barnett, of Green Mountain, NC.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by: one daughter; Linda Gortney, and brothers; Bobby, Clyde, Ralph, Doyle, Kels, and Lawrence.

Funeral services will be held; Friday, March 13, 2020 at 12:00Noon in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with David Montgomery officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at White Pine Cemetery (Byrd Creek Rd).
