Geneva M. Miller, age 98, of the Tipton Hill Community, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in the Brian Center, Spruce Pine, NC. She was the daughter of the late Ed and Sarah Miller. She was a homemaker and a member of the Upper Brummitts Creek Fundamental Brethren Church .

Survivors include her son, L.D. Miller and wife Susan Sparks Miller of Bakersville; two sisters: Edith Bennett of Erwin, TN and Marie Harding of Johnson City , TN; grandchildren: Renee Garland, Tracie McCann and Justin Miller; great granddaughter, Ashley Garland. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Carmon Miller; son, Edward "Royce" Miller; sisters: Nellie Tomberlin, Ethel Wilson and Madge Hylton; brothers: Fred, Leo and Leonard Miller.

Geneva loved everyone and also loved gardening, quilting and reading.

Funeral services will be 8:00 pm Friday, May 29, 2015 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Joe Brown and Randy Clark officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday in the Tipton Griffith Cemetery .
