Gene Bennett, age 68, of Wildersville , TN passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in Jackson , TN. A native of Mitchell County, North Carolina, he was the son of Elva Peterson Bennett of Wildersville and the late Sid Bennett. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Bennett and three brothers: Clinton, Malone and Wade Bennett.

In addition to his mother, Gene is survived by his sister, Ada Whaley and husband Dennis of Wildersville.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and burial will follow the service in the Bennett Cemetery on Pigeon Roost Road , Green Mtn. , NC .
