Gather Odell Boone, 75, of Nebo, NC passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 after an extended illness. A native of Bakersville, NC, he was the son of the late Curtis and Ester Callahan Boone. He was a member of the Cub Creek Baptist Church. Odell enjoyed fishing and hunting and he loved his family very much including his special cat, "Thomas". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Boone.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Hall Boone of the home; daughter, Patricia Epley (Allen) of Nebo; son, Ricky Boone (Mary) of Bakersville; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, April 15, 2022 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Willis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Slagle Cemetery, John Canipe Rd, Bakersville.
