Gary Clayton Murphy, 72, of Poplar, NC went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Blanche Murphy. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha Murphy, two brothers, Sherman and Benny, and sister, Juanita.

Gary is survived by his sons, Russell Murphy and Ryan Murphy (Hannah); three grandchildren, Konner, James and Jenny Murphy and sister Madge Reneau.

Gary was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and was always there for anything they needed. He was a longtime member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at 50 Elvis Edwards Drive, Green Mountain, NC 28740.
