Frank Buchanan, age 77, of the Cane Creek community, Bakersville, NC passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 in Asheville, NC after a period of declining health. He was the son of the late Ernest and Opal Pitman Buchanan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Ted Buchanan and a nephew, Tim Buchanan.

Frank enjoyed the outdoors, and working in the garden, but his real passion was for music and his oil painting.

Survivors include his children, Kevin Scott Buchanan, Eric Wayne Buchanan and wife Stacy, Anthony Reece Buchanan and wife Kristin  and April Buchanan Fox and husband Robert; his sister, Emma Lee Ledford (Ellis) and brothers, Johnnie Buchanan (Mary Frances), and Paul (Rhonda) and his sister in law, Louise Buchanan; grandchildren, Payton Grant (Jeff), Jordan Buchanan (fiancée, McKenzie), Nevaeh Buchanan, Ella Buchanan and Landon Fox.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, June 1, 2024 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Buchanan officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in the Cane Creek Cemetery.
