Dateline: Laurel Springs, NC

Floyd V. Harrald age 86 of Laurel Springs, NC passed away December 11, 2021. He was a native of Laurel Springs, NC and a son of the late Ivey and Nora Reeves Harrald. He was retired from a career in auto paint and body work. Floyd enjoyed working on cars, gardening and loved his family.

Survivors include: four daughters; Sandra Thompson and Sherry Gill, both of Kingsport, TN, Judy Wagoner, of North Carolina, and Lesa Calton, of Maryland, one sister; Barbara Lewis, of Jefferson, NC, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a special niece Hollie Brown.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by: his wife Sammie Buchanan Harrald, four sisters, and three brothers, and one grandson Justin Thompson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Matthew Vern Grindstaff officiating. Interment will follow the service at Wilson Young Cemetery.
