Dateline: Candler, NC

Eva Bell Phillips, age 102, went home to be with the Lord, May 10, 2019. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Mack and Naomi Randolph Ellis. She was a homemaker and a member of Good News Baptist Church in Candler, NC. Eva loved to garden and work in her flowers.

Survivors include: two sons; Richard Phillips (Carla), of West Asheville, NC, and Dennis Phillips (Sarah), of Candler, NC, one granddaughter; Tracey Leidheiser, of Tryon, NC, and two great grandchildren; Anna and Conrad Leidheiser.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by: her husband; Harry Phillips, three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Steve Smith and Jacob Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Gouge Cemetery.
