Ethel Evelyn Ledford age 91 of Crimson Laurel Way, Bakersville, NC passed away December 12, 2014 at Mitchell House in Spruce Pine, NC. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and attended Cornerstone Church . She was a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Ella Harding Rice. She was previously self employed as a caregiver.

Survivors include; nephew and special caregiver, Keith Ledford, sisters; Inez Rice, of Burnsville, NC, and Vergie Rice, of Spruce Pine, NC, one brother; Lowell Rice, of Spruce Pine, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by; her husband Lavie Ledford, two infants, and brothers; Frank, Junior, Earnest, and Richard Rice.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 15, 2014 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline- Hughes Funeral Home with Ronnie Gouge officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Gouge Cemetery .
