Ethel C. Gouge, age 94 of Ridge View Drive, Bakersville, NC passed away February 12, 2016 at Brian Center Health and Rehab in Spruce Pine, NC. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late George and Florence Conley. She was retired from Bassett Walker where she was a seamstress. She attended Bakersville United Methodist Church and also Friendship Baptist Church .

Survivors include; one son; Ronnie Gouge and Wife Linda, of Bakersville, NC and one grandson; Brady Gouge and wife Heather, also of Bakersville, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, Ralph Gouge, and two sisters, Helen Hughes, and Betty Jo Miller.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 7:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Mike Peterson and Marvin Miller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11:00AM at Green - Young Cemetery .
