Dateline: Ella Mae Silvers, age 56 of Orchard Rd, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord September 5, 2018. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Robert and Mamie Edwards Honeycutt. She was a member of Snow Hill Baptist Church and worked at Head Start Day Care, and Mammie's Kitchen.

Survivors include: husband; Charles Silvers, two daughters; Holly Silvers, of Penland, NC and Kimberly Bowman (Jeff), of Spruce Pine, NC, son; Harley Silvers (Wendy), of Deep Gap, NC, two sisters; Eloise Davis, of Bakersville, NC, and Lois Yelton, of Unicoi, TN, four brothers; Sid, Harrison, and Ray Honeycutt, all of Bakersville, NC, and Willard Honeycutt, of Lenoir, NC, and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a sister Doris Franklin.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 at 8:00PM in Snow Hill Baptist Church with Dean Honeycutt, Harrison Honeycutt, and Eric Proffitt officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00AM at Snow Hill Cemetery.
