Elena Griffith Street, age 88, of Cane Creek Rd., Bakersville, NC passed away March 6, 2020. She was a daughter of the late Maloy and Nancy Elizabeth Garland Griffith. She was retired as finance officer for Mitchell County Board of Education. She loved her family, her friends, and her flowers.

Survivors include: two daughters; Robin McKnight (Perry), of Salisbury, NC, Rachel Roberts, of Bakersville, NC, one son; Gregory Street, of Bakersville, NC, granddaughter; Kristina Stoker (Brian), of Statesville, NC, two great grandsons; Andrew, and Noah, sisters in law; Marguerite Griffith, of Columbus, Mississippi, and Edna Griffith, of Bakersville, NC.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by: her husband; Bruce Street, and two brothers; Jim and Charles Griffith.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Paul Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery (Harrell Hill Rd).
