Dateline: Unicoi, TN

Edith Mae Street, age 80, of Foxhounds Hills Circle, Unicoi, TN went home to be with the Lord August 5, 2018. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Bristoe and Ethel Stanley Yelton. She was previously employed by Szolds and Bergners Department Stores in Illinois. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Erwin, TN.

Survivors include: one daughter; Debbie Kay Wilson, of Decatur, Illinois, one son; Ted J. Street (Pamela), of Unicoi, TN, two sisters; Marie Morgan and Shelby Jean Street, both of Bakersville, NC, four grandchildren; Courtney Johnson, Brittnay Johnson, Jay Johnson, and Meagan Street Bower, and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by: her husband; Ted Street, two brothers; George and James Yelton, and one sister; Juanita Shuffler.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 4:00PM in Calvary Baptist Church (Erwin TN), with David Crutchfield officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
