Edith Burleson age 92, of Hwy 226 North, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord, February 19, 2022. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC. Edith attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. She loved bluegrass music and cooking.

Survivors include her son, Roger Burleson (Darlene), of Bakersville, NC, two grandchildren: Shane Burleson and Crystal Turnbull, two step grandchildren: Louis Lomp and Sherry Lomp, and daughter in law, Jackie Burleson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Burleson, one son, Randy Burleson, one daughter, Sharon Buerhaus, two sisters, and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Reverend Andy Willis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Fork Mountain Cemetery.
