Reverend Eddie Dean Ledford, age 66 of Hobson Rd., Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 24, 2015 . He was  a native of Mitchell County, NC and the son of the late Eddie and Geneva Hobson Ledford. He was retired from construction work where he owned and operated E. D. Ledford Construction Company Inc. for over 30 years. He was also the founder and pastor of Cornerstone Bible Church in Bakersville , NC for 28 years.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 41 years, Linda Metcalf Ledford, of the home, one son, Eddie Dean (Deanie) Ledford II, and a daughter, Amanda Ledford, both of Bakersville , NC , two grandchildren; Ethan Matthew Major, and Gavin Luke Major, two sisters; Wilma Ward, and Clarise Edwards, also of Bakersville , NC , several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by; two sisters; Pauline Ledford, and Georgia Garland, and an infant sister.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 3:00PM in Crossroads Church with Reverends Michael Ferree, Cecil Hamby, L. C. Tester, and Jerry Grogan officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Erwin , TN.
